12 Crafts of Christmas: Day 09 - Re-usable Gift Tags

If you would like to wrap presents in a memorable, eco-friendly way, these reusable gift tags will delight their recipients and are simple to make. Send us your photos or tag us on Instagram: @CotswoldCurtains #CC12CraftsOfChristmas

You will need:

Printed template (download here)
Fabric for tag of your choice (felt also works well)
Eyelet and pliers set
String or ribbon
Sewing machine
Fabric motifs or shapes cut from fabric

Method:

Cut out the template from this document on paper.

Using the template, cut two shapes from your tag fabric.

Cut out your chosen embellishment (you might choose a star, a detail from some fabric, or something relevant to your recipient).

Stitch the embellishment to one layer of the tag fabric.

Using hand-stitching, sew the name of the person you are sending your gift to.

Tucking your edges in slightly and pressing them down, use running stitch to sew around your tag.

Punch an eyelet through the top of the tag to tie your string or ribbon through. If you do not have an eyelet punch, you can stitch your ribbon in at the top of the tag.

Stick your tag to your wrapped gift.
