Measuring for an estimate

If we are fitting your curtains we will always come out and measure for you, so that we can take full responsibility for the finished curtain sizes. However, in order to get an estimate for your work you can follow these basic steps to help us to help you.

First, measure the height of your window, from the top of the recess to the sill, or the bottom of the recess (whichever you have). Then, measure the width of the window from recess to recess. It is worth measuring this at the top, middle and bottom in case your window is not straight.

We will always come out and survey your window if we are doing the installation so that we can check the walls and measurements, so if there are any errors made it is our responsibility to put it right, and not yours.

Photographs

A nice clear photo showing the area around the window allowing us to see any obstructions is really helpful. Try to take the photo straight-on where possible, but a few extra angles can also be helpful.

If you are looking for an upholstery project, please take nice clear photos of your furniture without anything else on it, and from a few angles so that we can get a clear idea of its make-up and condition.
